Exporting PNG and SVG
Download a diagram as a PNG at up to 4× for slides, or as an SVG that stays sharp and editable in Figma, Illustrator and Inkscape. Copy to clipboard too.
Which format to use

| PNG | Slides, tickets, README files, chat | Raster. Pick a scale up to 4× so it stays sharp when projected or on a retina screen. |
| SVG | Documents that get printed, and further editing | Vector. Sharp at any size, and opens as editable shapes in Figma, Illustrator and Inkscape. |
Options
- Scale — 1×, 2×, 3× or 4× for PNG. 2× is the sensible default for slides; 4× for print or a large display.
- Transparent background — for dropping a diagram onto a coloured slide.
- White background — for documents and printing, whichever theme you drew in.
- Match canvas — uses the diagram's own background colour.
Exports come from exactly what is on screen, and are generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to render them, and there is no watermark, no export limit and no paid tier that unlocks a bigger size.
Copying instead of downloading
The export menu can also copy a PNG or the SVG markup straight to the clipboard, which is usually faster when the diagram is going into a message or a document you already have open — no trip through the downloads folder.

Frequently asked
- Is there a watermark on exports?
- No. Exports are clean at every scale, and there is no paid tier that removes anything.
- Can I edit the exported SVG in Figma?
- Yes. The SVG has concrete pixel dimensions and real shapes, so it imports as editable vector objects rather than a flat image.
